Murphy had to have his spleen removed after a cancerous mass was found.

Murphy - Scottish Terrier

Background

Murphy, a 7 year old Scottish Terrier, had a splenic mass diagnosed as histiocytic sarcoma in May. It caused him to experience both lethargy and anemia. His spleen was removed and he is now undergoing chemotherapy.

Murphy's pet parent, Denise S., shares his story:

"Murphy is our rescue boy who we adopted when he was about 5 years old. Murphy was just recently diagnosed with histiocytic sarcoma, a rare form of spleen cancer that was eating his red blood cells which caused him to be extremely lethargic and anemic. He had surgery, along with two blood transfusions, on May 22nd to remove his spleen and the mass on it. He has undergone his first chemo treatment and is responding marvelously. We are hopeful he will continue to do well. My claims have been reviewed within 6 days of sending and payment has already been issued on 3 of my claims. That's just amazing!

I initially decided to get pet insurance to cover anything catastrophic. I never wanted to decline treatment for my beloved Scotties because of not being able to afford the care they might need. I did my research and found that Embrace met my needs. I love the flexibility of it and how you can adjust the policy to fit your needs and wants.

At this difficult time with Murphy, having Embrace has made all the difference in the world. It's allowed me to give him the special care and cancer treatment he needs and for that I am truly grateful. I've contacted your customer service a couple of times in the last two weeks. Your employees are so kind, compassionate and caring and showed genuine concern for Murphy's health. Customer service is the #1 reason I go with any particular company, and the customer service at Embrace goes above and beyond.

So, I would like to give my sincerest thanks to everyone at Embrace for being there for us in our time of need. I tell everyone I know who is looking into buying pet insurance to look no further than Embrace. You are truly the best."
