Embrace Pet Insurance (“Company” or “We”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy.

This privacy policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit any websites of Company, including www.embracepetinsurance.com (collectively, our “Websites”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information.

This privacy policy applies to information we collect:

  • In e-mail, text and other electronic messages between you and our Website.
  • When you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this privacy policy.

It does not apply to information collected by:

Children Under the Age of 16

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

We may obtain information about you when you choose to provide it to us and when we collect it from third parties.  We may also collect certain information about your device or usage by automated means, including through technologies such as cookies, flash cookies, web server logs, and web beacons.

Information That You or Others Provide to Us. The information we collect on or through our Websites may include:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Websites. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Websites, subscribing to our services or purchasing products or services on our Websites, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us, and when you report a problem with our Websites.  Examples of data elements may include: name, address, city, state, ZIP code, email address, telephone number, other contact information, birth date and household information.
  • Information about your transactions and relationships with us, our affiliated companies, and others (such as products or services purchased, survey responses, account balances, your policy coverage, premiums, and payment history).
  • Financial and payment information (such as payment card number, expiration date, account number, and billing address).
  • Product preferences, advertisement preferences, search queries, and other information about how you use our Websites.
  • Content you submit or post (such as photographs, videos, reviews, articles, comments, or any other information you provide to us or post).
  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted “) on public areas of our Websites, or transmitted to other users of our Websites or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions “). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of our Websites with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies. As you navigate through and interact with our Websites, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, including:

  • Web server logs: In conjunction with obtaining information through cookies, our web servers may log details regarding your device, operating system, or information about your usage of our Websites. 

Note that we do not currently honor “Do Not Track” signals from website browsers.

Third-party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies.

Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Website are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers and application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.

  • We may from time to time contract with third party vendors to provide ads to our customers on our behalf via the Internet or to send direct mail to customers whom we think may be interested in our products or services. In order to do so, such vendor may collect anonymous information about your visits to our website using a “cookie”. A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser or mobile device by websites, mobile apps, and advertisements that you access or use. This data is stored on your browser or mobile device and helps websites and mobile apps to remember things about you to improve your experience with the website. Third-party vendors may then pool the anonymous information that they collect from our website with other sources of information, which may include your name and mailing address, for purposes of determining whether you might be interested in receiving direct mail.   • To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Company’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Company about our Website users is among the assets transferred.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You may send us an e-mail at info@embracepetinsurance.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your request where feasible. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account (if one exists). We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

If you delete your User Contributions from our Websites, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Website users.

Your privacy and the security of your information is important to us. We have implemented measures that are reasonably designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure.
