Which pets should consider the accident plan?

Older pets and those with certain pre-existing conditions can benefit from Embrace's accident-only pet insurance coverage.

  • Dogs and cats age 15 years and over - these pets are not eligible for full accident and illness coverage
  • Pets who have been diagnosed with or showing symptoms of diabetes, Cushing's disease, Addison's disease, FIV, or FELV - while these pets are eligible for accident and illness coverage, they are subject to a variety of exclusions

If your pet is enrolled with an accident & illness plan before these ages, that full coverage will continue for life. We will not drop your pet's coverage at a certain age, nor will we change it. Any changes in coverage are totally up to you.
