Timber was bit by a neighbor's dog through a fence.

Vet Bill: $1,403

Background

Timber the Siberian Husky was just a little puppy when his pet parent, Thomas P. of Linden, NJ, signed him up for Embrace Pet Insurance at Westfield Veterinary Group. At the time, no one could have known that Timber would need that coverage just a few short weeks later.

Thomas tells Timber’s story:

"Timber was just ten weeks old and running along the fence in our backyard being his playful, puppy self with our neighbor's dog. Timber jumped and stuck his paw through the slat in the fence, which the neighbor's dog apparently took as a sign of aggression. The dog bit Timber in several spots on his paw, causing bleeding and several open wounds. We rushed Timber to the Westfield Veterinary Group, where he had emergency surgery to stitch up the many wounds on his paw and paw pads. He wore a surgical cone for a good three weeks beyond the surgery, but it didn't dampen his puppy spirit. Embrace was just wonderful in helping cover the costs of Timber's surgery as well as several post-op check-ups."
