You don’t have to jump through hoops to file and track your claims. MyEmbrace is the fastest way to submit, but we’ve got other options too.

Claims Turnaround Times

How long do claims take?

  • 10-15 business days for accident & illness claims
    • First claims usually take the entire 15 business days
    • Claims are delayed if we’re missing information (visit notes, invoice, diagnosis, etc.)
    • We’ll let you know if we’re missing something via MyEmbrace
  • 5 business days or less for Wellness Rewards claims

How long does it take for Embrace to receive what I’ve sent?

  • We typically confirm receipt within 2 business days
  • If you haven’t received confirmation within 4 business days, please contact us to verify or try sending again

What can I do if my claim wasn't covered?

The Explanation of Benefits explains why the claim wasn’t covered. You can appeal any claim decision that you feel is inaccurate within 14 days of our decision. If you wish to appeal a claim decision, refer to your Explanation of Benefits for instructions.

What does Embrace need to process my claim?

  • Claim form
  • Complete invoice (including tax, discounts, shipping, other pets, blank pages, etc.)
  • For first claims: Your pet’s medical records from 12 months before you enrolled (or from the time you brought them home if they were less than 12 months old when you signed up)

Why does Embrace need more information from my vet?

When you sign up for Embrace, we request your pet’s medical records for the 12 months before your coverage start date (if you have a puppy, kitten, or newly adopted pet, we request from the time you brought them home if it’s less than 12 months), and this information is reviewed upon your first claim. Your claim cannot be processed until this information is received.
