Gerrard Larriett Review & Giveaway

Lea Jaratz

gerrard-larriettAs the old saying goes, “the nose knows.” That’s usually the case when it comes to a home that smells like pets. It’s also the case when odor products are made for pets. Most pet shampoos, conditioners and fragrances have a chemical, even medical, smell. Unless one of my boys is extremely dirty, I’d rather smell the “dog” smell than the shampoo smell that lingers for days after a trip to the groomer. But, a new pet aromatherapy line from Gerrard Larriett has changed all that. Finally, pet grooming and household products that smell as good, or better, than the spa products we pamper ourselves with.

We’re testing out the Balancing Rose Aromatherapy Experience, both on our dogs and around the house. While I’m not much of a candle person, I find myself lighting the deodorizing soy candle, not just to cut the pet odors, but to help me relax. It’s a simple apothecary jar and a classic ivory candle but it smells so good, with a rosewater scent that leaves me feeling a bit nostalgic. At first, I was sure it would have that something-extra smell that deodorizing candles tend to have, but this does not. Because of that, I didn’t expect it to work on the odors, but surprise surprise, it does a fantastic job! With a 58 hour burn time, I can let it work it’s magic all the time, no matter what the occasion.

The shampoo and conditioner have proved to be both pleasing and practical. Kayden was the lucky recipient of a spa bath and he came out smelling fresh, with a light rose scent and a fantastically sleek coat! His rich chocolate fur was so shiny he almost looked wet, but was soft to the touch. The refreshing and shining spray is ideal for those in-between moments, when company is stopping by but your dog doesn’t need a full trip to the groomer.

The gift set includes all 3 aromatherapy products, plus a cute tote and at just $44 this could save you tons of cash and hassle by sparing you a few groomer visits.
