Wellness & Routine Care Coverage
The cost of wellness care - including spay/neuter surgery, vet-recommended vaccinations, and flea, tick & heartworm preventatives - is not covered with a pet insurance plan from 24PetWatch. Embrace promotes, rewards and encourages healthy pets by offering Wellness Rewards to help you pay for regular visits to your veterinarian.
Per-incident limits restrict the overall amount you can be reimbursed for a specific accident or illness. 24PetWatch Pet Insurance Programs have per-incident limits for accidents, per-category limits for illnesses, and lifetime limits on top of that. Embrace policies have annual and lifetime maximums.
24PetWatch per-incident (accidents) and per-category (illnesses) maximums are set to $1,500, $3,000, or $5,000 depending on what program you choose, meaning once you reach that capped amount for any given condition, they will stop reimbursement. Lifetime limits are set to $18,000, $36,000 or $60,000 total. The lifetime maximum for every Embrace policy is $50,000, which has never been reached.
Premium Increases Over Time
24PetWatch states in their terms & conditions: “Premiums may increase with excessive claims.” meaning if you claim too much, you'll pay for it. Embrace does have age-related increases of about 10% starting at age 5 and veterinary inflation affects any pet insurance policy by about 5% each year. We understand that claims are made for accidents & illnesses out of your control and therefore will not penalize you for any number of claims or amount reimbursed.
Behavioral Care Coverage
Behavior problems are common in pets and are often difficult to handle. With 24PetWatch Pet Insurance, no medications, consultations, or other treatment options for behavioral issues will be considered for coverage. Here at Embrace we want you to be able to consider any and all treatment options, which is why we cover veterinarian-approved behavioral care, such as medications or consultations done by a veterinarian, standard with every policy. (This does not include training or pre-existing behavioral conditions.)

With 24PetWatch Pet Insurance, you are responsible for a $100 deductible each time you visit the vet for a new condition. With Embrace, you only need to meet your chosen deductible once per year, regardless of how many claims you make. If your pet has an unlucky year you could be saving a few hundred dollars with an Embrace policy.
24PetWatch charges an additional monthly billing fee for policy holders who choose to pay monthly. Embrace prides itself on having no annual fees and no monthly payment fees.
