PurOtic Ear Cleaner Giveaway
I wasn’t excited about reviewing another ear cleaner, but that’s because I hate cleaning Kayden’s ears. Why? Because he hates having his ears cleaned. He avoids me for days afterwards. I don’t blame him. Most ear cleaners smell like alcohol and probably feel awful sloshing around down in the ear canal.
So, I put off my review of the PurOtic Deep Ear Cleanser from Innovet until his ears really needed cleaning. I had ahold of him and he knew it was coming, the two of us bracing for the task. I put the extra-long silicone applicator at the tip of his ear canal, gave a gentle squirt, and waited...and waited. He looked at me as if to say “meh, okay.” The precise dosing meant no sloshing ear mess and no having to chase down the dog to get to the second ear. The applicator, as scary as it looks, was actually less invasive.
As I was swabbing out Kayden’s ears I thought, “this stuff actually smells good,” so I looked at the ingredients. Tea tree oil, lavender oil, eucalyptus and calendula oil are listed. No wonder his funky ears smell so nice! Tea tree oil has anti-fungal properties that are great for dogs with yeasty ears, and the other oils serve as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. It’s great to see an ingredients list with so many natural ingredients and without alcohol or sulfates.
Instead of running for his crate, Kayden stuck around to give me some smooches! This cleaner and the revolutionary applicator has eliminated ear cleaner guilt for me.
