About Patty Khuly, VMD MBA
Patty Khuly, VMD, MBA is a pet health personality and founder of Dolittler.com, a blog detailing the “real world of veterinary medicine for pet lovers, vet voyeurs and the medically curious.”
Dr. K practices as a small animal veterinarian in Miami, Florida. Dogs and cats are her forte but she’s willing to work on any animal in a pinch.
She’s an honors graduate of both Wellesley College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and received her MBA at The Wharton School of Business as part of the prestigious VMD/MBA dual-degree program.
She serves as pet health expert for Vetstreet.com, which includes both video work and a bi-weekly column, authors a weekly pet health column for The Miami Herald in addition to a monthly column for Veterinary Practice News, and has contributed frequently to USA Today, Veterinary Economics and The Bark, among other notable publications.
Her blog, Dr. Khuly's passion since 2005, has won accolades from the veterinary community as one of the "Ten Best Blogs in Pet Health" by Fox News. She’s been voted one of the "25 People to Watch" by Pet Product News, and has won the Veterinary News Network’s “Rising Star Award.”
She’s also a nerdy reader, music geek, struggling triathlete, frustrated kayaker (finding the time!), and indefatigable foodie. She lives in South Miami with four rescue dogs, four cats, a rotation of foster kittens, two foundling goats, a flock of hens, and her teenage son, Armando.
