2017 Holiday Gift Guide for Pet Lovers

Lea Jaratz

Harry Potter Pet Art

It’s gift shopping crunch time, people. Black Friday ads are being leaked. Those giant inflatable Santas are popping up everywhere. I’m guilty of doing all my shopping in a virtual cart just to avoid the hullaballoo. But, remember, you can support small businesses this time of year and still stay home in your jammies. Think of it as a two-fer: when you shop small your gift purchase is essentially helping that business owner and their family have a happy holiday season as well.

Art Lovers

What about capturing their passions as well as their pets? Artists like Miss Cupcake offer custom caricatures of people and pets. I know more than a few friends that would love seeing themselves in this Harry Potter-themed custom portrait with their pets. Besides, art is timeless, functional and oh-so heartfelt. (Harry Potter themed custom portrait: $40 and up.)

The mason jar craze has no end in sight, and I think you know someone who would love this set of customized mason jar dog food bowls ($24). It’s nice to see our pet pals included in the shabby chic decor.

It’s so nice to be a cat lady in an era when it’s en vogue and we can showcase our fanaticism for felines in style. This delicate cat bracelet ($32) is the minimalist style that suits just about any cat lady on your list.

Minimalist-minded dog lover on your list? What about this geometric Chihuahua necklace in 18K-plated gold?

Custom Pet Gear

And, apparently custom pet socks are a thing now. I’m not sure if this counts as a white elephant gift or not, but I am sure the recipient will “aww” over their very own pet’s face. The price point is right at only $14.99 for someone you just need a little something for--think your pet sitter or maybe a teacher’s gift.

Want more quirky custom photo product ideas? How about these custom pet pillows? Or custom antique pet art? The possibilities are endless.
