Background

Heimdall's owner noticed he had labored breathing and was coughing a lot so he decided to get him checked out. His veterinarian diagnosed him with bacterial pneumonia in November 2008 and his treatments and several relapses, including visits to the veterinary ER, would continue until June 2009.

It was a very tough and scary road and we were all keeping our fingers crossed that Heimdall would make a complete recovery, which he eventually did.

Heimdall's Policy

Heimdall's mom chose a catastrophic pet insurance plan for him and added Embrace's optional drug and dental coverage with it that covered his costly prescription antibiotics. All told, Heimdall's numerous exams and emergency room visits, X-rays, diagnostics and several rounds of antibiotics totaled $13,137.03!
