Dog Attacked in Yard
Chihuahua recovers from encounter with Blue Heeler
Embrace Reimbursed: $1,266.43
Location: Southlake, TX
Date: August 2009
Background
Linda always considered herself a cat person but when she saw the two-pound Chiquita at a breeder's convention in 2007, she couldn't resist. In February of 2009, Linda decided to insure Chiquita with Embrace.
Then in August, little Chiquita was attacked by a Blue Heeler in the pet sitter's backyard. She immediately went into shock and was taken to Banfield in Southlake, TX. They were able to stabilize Chiquita, and then Linda took her to the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas. There she received stitches for the lacerations on the side of her face, and she was hospitalized for the night. Chiquita's vet bills for the attack came to around $1,700.
Chiquita's Policy
Chiquita's policy covers accidents. Therefore, she was covered for the unexpected injuries caused by the dog attack.
