What is your background?
I studied at Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 1995 working in a variety of settings including; emergency and referral practices, general practice, a mobile low cost spay and neuter clinic, medical device research and relief work. Prior to becoming a veterinary technician I worked as a Hemodialysis technician for 13 years.
Do you have any pets currently?
I have 2 Spanish Mustang mares: BoGo and Rita, 1 Saanen dairy goat "wether": Benny, 2 male domestic short hair cats: Monkimus Spunkimus and Puck, and 2 female mixed breed dogs; Zippopotamus and Maxwell.
What is your favorite pet-related memory?
Really? Just one?
What’s your favorite thing about Embrace?
Having the ability to hopefully help alleviate the financial stress that often comes with a sick or injured pet so medical decisions don't have to become financial decisions.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Work on my illustrations, garden, hang out with my husband, Tom, and drive my mare, Rita.
Anything else we should know about you?
I am very serious about my art, my illustrations have been published in text books, periodicals and presentation materials for veterinarians and physicians.
