What is your background?
I am a life-long Ohioan. I attended Ohio State University and received my degree in Sociology. I’ve been in the customer service field for over 10 years, and I still enjoy talking to new people and working with our great staff.
Do you have any pets currently?
Actually, my family does not currently have any pets. However, our three kids are old enough now that my wife and I are finally - finally! - in the process of figuring out what kind of animal would be a good fit with our family. I'm voting for a dog - preferably a rescued mutt. My oldest son, however, is pushing hard for a chicken. Embrace does not offer coverage for chickens.
What is your favorite pet-related memory?
When I was growing up, we had a dog named Amadeus. When I got home at night I would hear the jingle of her tags and I knew I was in for a warm welcome. She could make a cold, dark house welcoming.
What’s your favorite thing about Embrace?
I love the culture at Embrace. We are a growing company and sometimes it's more like a family (squabbles and all). Management here really cares about making working at Embrace a fulfilling career. We work hard, but the yoga classes and free espresso keep us healthy and happy. We also have great, up-to-date, technology, but I am only allowed to list one thing.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I have three kids, so I'm not really sure what "free time" means. On the weekends, we like to take family trips to museums and parks. I'm enjoying teaching my kids about how great Ohio sports are - the Browns, Indians, Cavs, and Buckeyes all receive my unwavering devotion. I also try to make time for running. Not very far, and not very fast, but I do what I can.

Anything else we should know about you?
My mom is from Denmark (a beautiful country!), but I only know ten words in Danish. I do like to eat Danish pastries.
