What Does Embrace Cover?
We took a long, hard look at the pet insurance plans out there and we were not satisfied with what we saw. Pet parents complained about coverage with too many gaps and claims that were not paid because other pet insurance companies seemed to think that everything was a genetic or pre-existing condition.
We think differently. We train hard to be pet insurance professionals and we have designed a radically new concept: a customizable pet insurance policy that lets you decide how much of the veterinary bill to pay so that you can find a premium to fit your budget.
Every Embrace Policy Gives You Top-notch Protection
We want every Embrace pet to have the best protection against life's ups and downs so every policy protects your pet against:
- Genetic and Congenital Conditions
- Alternative and Complementary Therapies such as hydrotherapy and acupuncture
- Cancer and Chemotherapy
- Surgery and Hospitalization
- Laboratory Work and Diagnostic Tests including blood, urine, fecal, ultrasound, MRI, and CT scans
- Drugs administered during your pet's stay in a veterinary clinic
- Dental Trauma due to an accident
- Accidents
Are there any "gotchas"? Well, not really, although pre-existing conditions are not covered - some may not be covered permanently while others may be covered in your second policy year onwards. Our pre-existing condition guidelines explain in more detail.
Although optional we strongly recommend pre-certification in cases where treatment is likely to cost more than $1,000 or for certain procedures like MRI or CT scans. It gives you peace of mind and can speed up claims turnaround.

Every Embrace Pet Insurance policy is fully customizable and comes with a choice of policy maximums, deductibles, and co-pays that you can customize to fit your budget. Policy reimbursements can be $2,000, $5,000, or $10,000 per year for each pet you have covered.
